The Artist

Paul Brown is a native San Diegan and his background is rooted in both the creative and technical realms. His interest in fractal images goes back to 1977, when these images were first discovered. He printed out his first large format fractal image in 1983, using an Apple IIe computer, running a custom BASIC program, and driving a Hewlett-Packard pen plotter.

His professional history includes many different disciplines. He started a major computer peripherals firm in 1983 that is still thriving today. He later started a company that specialized in high technology music products, that was later sold. He has done fine art reproduction for local San Diego artists and has been an Epson Professional Graphics dealer. Paul’s experience in both the creative and technical fields, his attention to detail, and his eye for striking images, make him uniquely qualified for this field.
